This two-day workshop is designed to provide focused, hands-on training in LaTeX for scientific and academic document preparation. Module 1: Introduction to LaTeX and Scientific Document Preparation
Overview of LaTeX, its advantages in scientific writing, LaTeX ecosystem, basic document structure, and creation of simple academic documents.
Module 2: Structuring Research Documents
Organization of research articles, synopses, theses, and reports; sections and subsections; formatting text, lists, tables, figures, and cross-referencing.
Module 3: Mathematical Typesetting and Bibliography Management
Writing mathematical equations and symbols, equation referencing, introduction to BibTeX/BibLaTeX, and managing citations and references.
Module 4: Advanced Features and Publication Standards
Page layout and formatting, thesis and journal templates, handling large documents, best practices for error-free and publication-ready scientific writing.
